A week ago we wrote about day one of Dasara 2026, the day Strata went public. Since then the festival hasn't paused, and neither have we. The palace programmes, Yuva Dasara, Bannimantap and Kambala have all gone out live, every day, to television channels across India, to social platforms and to viewers on our own player.

This post is about the numbers, and even more about the people behind them.

The numbers so far

These figures cover only viewers who watched on Strata's own player, between 12 and 19 October. The audience that watched through the television channels taking our uplink, and through the social streams, is much larger and isn't counted here.

  • 121+ hours on air across four events.
  • 29,400+ viewing sessions and 2,600+ watch hours.
  • 3,700+ unique viewers on 18 October alone, the day all four events were live, and our biggest day so far.
  • 1.4 TB of video served on 18 and 19 October alone, the two days we have delivery figures for.
  • The audience grew almost every day, from about 300 viewers on 12 October to more than ten times that by the weekend.

Most viewers (over 90%) watched over standard HLS on phones and browsers. The rest came in over low-latency WebRTC and RTMP pulls, which is how partner outlets picked up the feed.

Pioneers of the multi-channel Dasara feed

Streaming one event to one platform is a solved problem. Sending one clean feed of Mysuru Dasara, at the same moment, to TV channels across the country, to several social platforms and to official government pages is not. Very few companies anywhere in India have run a setup like this, and Fusion Minds has been doing it for Dasara year after year.

The people who made it work

No single team could do this alone. Dasara 2026 has been carried by a handful of partners who between them bring more than 30 years of combined experience in broadcast, events, design and community media.

Yashwanth, Founder of Fusion Minds, is the brain behind the concept. He has been the pivot that brought every team together, held the government relationships that a state festival depends on, and led the whole effort from the first plan to the live feed.

Karthik Mahesh Events, the father-and-son duo of Mahesh and Karthik, are the team on the ground. They are the muscle behind the visuals, responsible for setup, camera placement and planning. They've dealt with patchy networks, tight camera positions, heavy crowds and artist restrictions, and still delivered international-standard videography and transitions. Their crew of 40+ people across four events is why the pictures look the way they do.

Praveen of Humm Designs has shaped the design language of Mysuru Dasara: the UI and UX, the website, the on-screen placements, the assets and the wireframes. The world-class look of everything around the stream is his team's work.

Prashanth of AskMysuru, the popular channel and Instagram handle, has been the backbone of Dasara's social media strategy. AskMysuru's reach and voice are a big part of why so many people knew where and when to watch.

Fusion Minds' part was the technology that connected all of it, from the contribution feed at the venue to every screen that showed it. But this success belongs to all of these teams together.

Launching MysuruDasara.org, ad-free forever

Alongside the stream, AskMysuru and Fusion Minds have jointly launched MysuruDasara.org, one place for verified information about Mysuru, dedicated to Chāmundi Amma. It will stay ad-free and free to use, forever. Read more about the launch →
